E-mail Address
In order to complete registration with Safe-mailTM, you simply need to enter an E-mail Address and a password. The E-mail Address you give can be any name of your choosing. It may contain a maximum of 32 characters, comprising of upper and lower case alphabetical characters, digits, underscores, dashes and period. When you enter your E-mail Address at login or when someone else sends you an e-mail, the letter input is case insensitive.

Password
The Password may be up to 64 characters and may contain any printable character in the ASCII table. It is strongly recommended that you choose your password wisely for better security. We suggest that you choose a string of at least 8 characters, including at least one upper case, one lower case, and one non-alphabetical character. To construct an effective password that will give you good protection, create a long password, (up to 64 characters including spaces,) which spells out a phrase with the words slightly changed. For example: "The boy stood on the burning deck" could be changed to "The boys stand on on the burning decks". It is important for you to remember your password. The letter input is case sensitive. For more password examples, click here.

The registration process takes place in the secure environment to ensure your password security.

You are not required to leave any personal details in order to register.

At Safe-mailTM your password is the only key to access your private correspondence.

Communication Errors

What does this mean?
When you connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), they will give you an IP Address. They do this because you cannot surf the Internet without one. However, there are times when your ISP will need to change your IP Address. Under normal circumstances, you won't notice this happening. However, Safe-mail uses IP Address tracking to maximize the security of your communications. When your IP changes while logged on to your account, we will ask you to re-enter your password before continuing activity on your account.

Why do we do this?
It is possible for malicious hackers to 'hijack' by transferring your Safe-mail session to their own IP Address. Using IP Address tracking prevents this from happening.

So, when your IP Address changes we ask you to re-enter your password, to make sure that you are still who we thought you were.
