I'm Over Quota!

The problem is that you have either exceeded your disk storage space quota, or you have exceeded the maximum number of permitted messages in any one folder (this includes your Inbox). To find out the exact problem click Pref->Quotas.

Notice: Usually the problem is the space which is taken by emails in the Inbox, Trash, Sent folders. The solution is simply to remove emails from these folders.

In order to solve the problem you can do one of the following:

  1. If you are over your disk space limit, you must remove some of your messages to free up some space.

  2. If you are over the maximum emails per folder limit, go to the folder and either:

    • Remove some old email messages
      -or-

    • Move the old emails to a user-defined folder. (if you don't have such, create it).

Notice: Emails which exceed the quota are rejected and not stored anywhere. The sender of the emails was notified that you didn't get the message. This means that you will need to ask the sender to send the message again.
