IP Errors

You were tootling along, minding your own business. You clicked a link in your Safe-mail account, and a version of the following message has popped up:

Your IP has changed...
                ...please re-enter your password.

This message is the result of IP checks that are run as a part of the validation process. What we are doing is making sure that you are who you say you are. When you log on to the Internet, you get a temporary IP address, and when you log on to your Safe-mail account, we remember that IP address. If this IP address changes, we ask you to re-enter your password because it is possible that someone might have hijacked your account. It's just one of the ways that we help protect your security.

However, if you are getting too many errors, you can disable or reduce the IP checks:

Click Pref->Security->General. Look at the IP checks section.

Notice: Disabling and reducing IP checks might lower your overall security.
